Catherine has been a part of the team at Ivins Chiropractic since 2019 and currently works as a Chiropractic Assistant and Remedial Massage Therapist.
Catherine specializes in trigger point, deep tissue therapy, muscle energy technique (MET) and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). Catherine’s mission is to provide you with the best possible care and is pleased to have the opportunity to be of service.
At the completion of her Bachelor of Science Degree (Anatomy and Physiology) Catherine wishes to complete her post graduate studies in Master of Chiropractic and pursue research opportunities in Neuroscience and Paediatrics.
Catherine brings this level of prior learning to her remedial therapy sessions enhancing her ability to accurately assess and use appropriate massage techniques to be able to assist individuals in their recovery, promote health and maintain mobility.
Before walking into any room, Catherine ensures that her intentions with the patient is under the foundation of empathy before any treatment. Her collaborative approach to patient management with the other practitioners of Ivins Chiropractic ensures the best level of care to our patients.
As Catherine heads into her Master of Chiropractic in 2023, she plans on dedicating time to analysing peer-reviewed papers, thus ensuring that a sound knowledge base is established.
An inquisitive learner that she is, Catherine enjoys spending her time shadowing Dr. Ivins with complex neurological cases to improve her critical thinking and deepen her understanding of the body. Her desire for knowledge and compassion to help others is reflected upon her attentive nature to aid patients in their recovery. Catherine prides herself in her practice patience and intentional care of patients that comes from a genuine desire to heal.
